Privacy Policy
Sustainable Woodstock is a small not-for-profit organization. We collect very little information about visitors to our website or email users. We keep minimal information on our donors. We do not share this information with anyone.
General Statement of Principles
As described in more detail below, any information we gather at this website is strictly for our use and is not shared with any other entity, public or private, for any reason – period. We will not sell or give away any lists or other data that we may retain and we do not purchase such information from other sources.
Statistical Data
On our website, we use Google Analytics to track IP addresses and referring pages to help with site maintenance and improvements. This data is viewed only as anonymous statistics to show the busiest times of the day or week, pages with errors, and how effective our advertising has been. This information is not used for any other purpose.
We also monitor the general usage of our Facebook page to see what our community likes (and what they don’t like), but we don’t keep data or information about how the page is used except what we need for minimal reporting to our board.
Because we are concerned about protecting the environment, much of our contact with friends and supporters is by email. We store only first and last names and email addresses in our email database and our email service allows anyone to opt out, at any time, for any reason. We do not add people to our email list unless they request to be added. We do not and will not share our email list with any other organization or individual.
Personal Information Collected
We do collect personal information beyond name, contact information (address, phone and email address), and interests of our volunteers or donors. With the exception of credit card information, we store the information from donors to allow us thank our contributors and inform them of issues and events of interest to them. You may elect to have your information completely removed from our database system by e-mailing us with your request. We do not store any type of credit card information.
Return/Refund Policy
If you’ve contributed to Sustainable Woodstock and need to contact us about your contribution, please send email to Sally Miller or call 802.457.2911. In general, we do not refund donations or return gifts to donors.
