What You Need to Know to Start Saving Seeds and Why It's Important

Monday, May 15, 5:30-7:00pm
Norman Williams Public Library 10 The Green, Woodstock

This workshop, given by Sylvia Davatz and co-sponsored by Sustainable Woodstock, will cover all the basic considerations in saving your own vegetable seeds. Sylvia will explain terms like open-pollinated and hybrid, as well as discuss isolation methods, spacing, plant populations, harvesting, cleaning and storing seeds. She'll also talk about the importance of preserving the irreplaceable heritage of biodiversity contained in our seeds.
